sugar free maple pecan syrup



1/4 c. water

1 oz. unsalted pecans

Heaping tbs sweetener

2 tbs butter

maple extract to your taste

few drops of vanilla


In a small saucepan combine all ingredients and simmer on low until thickened. This usually takes me about 8 minutes. You can add a dash of xanthan gum to the mixture at the end if you’d like your syrup a bit thicker. This makes 1-2 servings of syrup. I usually make it as needed. The keto sweeteners I use usually contain erythritol which tends to recrystallize as it cools so I don’t make large batches to store.
